Congratulations to Estrella Foothills High School Head Girls Volleyball coach Jennifer Gonzales. She has been named not only the 4A Southwest Region Coach of the Year for a 2nd year in a row… but now can add “4A Conference Coach of the Year” to her growing list of accomplishments.
In late October, as the Lady Wolves were powering their way through their season, West Valley Preps reporter Richard Smith wrote, “Unheralded, undersized Estrella Foothills girls volleyball still No. 2, undefeated in games that count… The program improved when Jennifer Gonzalez took over as head coach in 2015. But the Estrella Foothills had not made the playoffs since 2009 and never earned a region title until breaking through in both cases last year.”
Under Coach Gonzales’ leadership - #EFHSVolleyball wrapped up this fall 32-4 on the season. #1 in the region. Runners Up in the 4A Conference. And #1 in the hearts of our families, friends, and fans.
